Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)
TWiST lab welcomes 2-3 committed undergraduate students to work on various ongoing projects through various REU funds. Apart from performing cutting edge research early on in their careers, students participate in active discussions with laboratory members, attend reporting calls to sponsors to describe their contributions, and review technical literature under the direct mentorship of Prof. Roy and senior Ph.D. students. Previous undergraduate participants and their academic level at the time of their REU experience include:
- Eber Barrientos, UTA Sophomore Student, Spring 2025, UTA CSE funding.
- Aavash Khareal, UTA Sophomore Student, Spring 2025, UTA CoE funding.
- Raul Shakya, UTA Sophomore Student, Fall 2024, UTA CSE funding.
- Mohammad Hasibur Rahaman, UTA Freshman Student, Spring 2024, UTA CSE funding.
- Tin Duc Ngo, UTA Sophomore Student, Spring 2024, UTA CSE funding.
- Duy Pham Quang, UTA Sophomore Student, Spring 2024, UTA CSE funding.
Various publications out of their REU projects:
